The Bowyer's Journal is a new magazine for Traditional and Primitive bowyers. It has some really good information in it.
Dean Torges, accomplished primitive bowyer, has issued a challenge for the selfbow guys. Build an all wood bow 58" or less, 60# draw weight that meets certain criteria.
