This Opening of Rifle Season, I will not be walking out to the field with my trusty 25WSSM instead I will be clinging to my Mathews Passion! I guess you can say you guys and gals might have influenced my choice......or may be it was my new buddy....:cheese:

Sorry Ronnie but it has been a little chilly this week. I agree October is "bring a fan to the blind month!"
Good luck this weekend and we need to meet for some BBQ sometime in Brady.

I have't needed one of those since we left the Hill Country. Looks like you would have needed it there this morning with the freeze warnings up in that area. Good Luck to everyone. I am happy that we have cool weather for the opening. Now just have to get down there before it goes away. Bob

Good for you!!! You are gonna need your Mr. Buddy this weekend! It is suppose to be freezin'. Of course, last weekend it was 34 and Hunter was shedding clothes in the blind. Good luck, Temerosa de Tortuga!!! I hope you get ole big boy! He will make a fine trophy!

Jo I know where you are coming from. Going to be 32 in the morning at my place so my longbow will be staying in the cabin for the afternoon hunt. For the morning I'll be carrying my .50 Hawkens smoke pole.

To Funny Jo
The little friend will heat up the blind like a oven. You will need some SPF45 and a beach blanket.

Well me and my friend have been hanging out over the past few weekends in my bow blind without any success. However, the serenity and enjoyment of watching the young ones has been priceless.
On Sunday, I thought opportunity was going to strike when I got a glimpse of an axis buck coming to my feeder;however, the whitetail nubbin got spooked causing the axis to run for cover.
Until now the count is zero but let's see what this weekend has in store for me. One thing is certain, I have to take my buddy a snack...
