Camp Bullis is off to a roaring start.

Best buck so far was a 10 pt that green scores 158 taken last Friday AM. Numerous other bucks, with several pushing the 125 P&Y.

My wife took a 6 1/2 year old nine point (20" outside, mains > 22 inches, real nice animal)Opening 'Afternoon' along with a gobbler sporting a 9 inch beard. Buck green scored mid-130's. Both animals were taken from just over 17 yards... using a 50# Switchback, Gold Tips and 100 Gr Montec's. Buck was recovered within 50 yards. Interesting thing is that she saw this animal and 4 of his buddies on the trail camera seveal times in August; even got him on a 30 minute video during a Labor Day scouting session.

I'd post a pic but I'm not quite smart enough to master that yet. Hope y'all are having a great season thus far.

Thanks guys. Like I said, I feel really blessed this season. My wife took an 8pt as well and that was more exciting for me than anything. I sent her story to Joey and maybe it will make the pages of the magazine in the next few issues.

BH26,
I bought a new Switchback a few weeks ago and have taken a couple of things with it. I started the season with my MQ32. The Switchback is a sweet shooting bow. I just got back from Archery Country. My wife got a Mathews Ultra 2 and was setting it up.
Congratulations on a great season!

He's coming to a feeder in the afternoons that I have not hunted. I'll be camped on that stand with my 6 year old GRANDSON this weekend. Hope to have some pictures and a story Sunday night.

My 5yr. old grandson and I just got back from our hunt in Brady. We had a really good time he is a hoot to hunt with, man these grandkids are fun. We shot a doe on friday afternoon and on saturday afternoon we took a 10pt buck, he's not the big one we were after but he is a nice deer. I'll try to post a picture later. Dakota gave me more hugs over the deer than my wife do'es when I get home from a hunt. Take a kid hunting its the most fun you will ever have.
