I voted yes but would like to add some input to a random vote.
It would be yes in the form of member attendence. Yes in helping with organizing or such but from interested LSBA members and not additional work for the EC. And yes without the EC have to legislate support (i.e. forcing the issue)
I have limited experience with bowfishing and have enjoyed it when I have had time to participate. I hope to do more of it in the future.

Ok, since I'm the one no vote I will explain. I have a hard time with the word Tournament. As in should LSBA run tournaments then no!! If LSBA should be present in a form of a booth or representation then yes. A LSBA fellowship bowfishing get together Absolutely! (I will buy gas and food  ). I believe the LSBA has tried to run tournaments before with not much luck, maybe some of the older than dirt members(Tomme) will elaborate. That's just my 1 cent's worth.

LSBA used to sponsor a state bowfishing tournament every year. We got out of it about 1998 because of a couple of problems. One of the problems was getting people to help. With only 18 members on the EC someone has to be a real died in the wool bowfisher or it's not going to get worked. If members want this and are willing to step forward then it could be a good thing.
The other main reason we got out of the bowfishing business is that the touranaments got to be big money affairs and most of the folks in the state tournament were coming in from out of state.
I'm with Biggen in that I'd love to have an LSBA bowfishing fellowship get together with a fish fry (as in flounder or Tilapai).
I'm in favor of promoting any type of bowhunting so I also wouldn't mind LSBA getting back into a fun bowfishing tournament format, provided that there are enough volunteers from the ranks to support these. We could also have articles and devote some space to it in the magazine.
