A couple more years.........please

I sure hope this buck doesn't get ground checked during gun season this year by someone in the national forest next my place. He has the making of a good one it a couple years. I'm really afraid someone is going to shoot first and measure second with this being the first year for the 13 inch restriction. At least with the new rules he has a chance to grow if folks pay attention. By the way it was hard to watch him for what seemed like hours, but it was more like 30 minutes. I knew he was up there, but had only seen these pictures, I don't think the pictures I have do him justice.

That is a nice looking young buck, I say 2.5 maybe 3.5. I seen a few like him on my lease in Milam last year that were older and will probly die of old age because of the 13" rule. The 13" rule is the best thing that has happened to East Tx hunting regulations. He will be a good one if he last till next year.

How old do you think he his?

From the pictures I have of him, it was hard to judge and I was thinking between 2.5 and 3.5. After watching live, I might just lean to 2.5 as he really has signs of being a young guy. He still might be 3.5, but either way I'd like to give him a couple of years at least before putting on my wall.......;)
