Crossbows and MLD 3 Question?

MLD 3 Land can be hunted from the opening of bow season to the end of February with Gun or Bow. My Question is does this also include crossbows.

If I understand things correctly with MLD, TPWD considers a crossbow the same as a rifle. I would think if you could hunt them with a rifle, then a crossbow should be legal means as well.

I am sure Bobby (Bobster) will chime in shortly, he would be the one I would ask.

The state rules kinda go out the window when you are dealing with MLD-3 land. The owner establishes their own rules and submit them to TPW for approval as a part of their management plan. If they want to allow crossbows then crossbows are allowed.
