the original question went something like this, 50lb bob lee recurve with beman 500 7.3 gpi roughly 28 1/2 inches with 100gr two blade tip. is this heavy enough for hunting. I see were everybody is using heavy everything on thier trad setups. my arrows fly good and don't really want to change if i don't have to.

That seems quite light to me. Total arrow wieght around 350 gr. If it was me I would try to get more weight. You can do this by simply adding a weight tube inside the arrow ( a 5gr/in tube would add 135gr and an 8 gr/in tube would add 216) and keeping your same broadhead. I would try to achieve 8-10 gr / pound of draw weight. If you a pulling 50#, I would try to get your arrow weight up to between 400gr and 500gr.

you are hurting your bow..... you need at least a 400 grain arrow for a 50 pound bow

Most bowyers I've talked to recommend no less than 8 grains per pound of draw weight (400/50 as Buff says). Some actually prefer over 9, with some favoring 10+. I shoot for right at 10.
Its easy to add weight to an aluminum or carbon arrow. Spray foam, aquarium tubing, and weighted inserts. If your spine is what you want, go with the aquarium tubing. If you're flying a bit stiff, get heavier inserts.
I think Buff's got the coolest avatar!!

This is only an opinion backed by 48 years of bowhunting experience. Try to get your total arrow weight up to 500 gr.
A sharp 2 bladed broadhead will kill but have a tendency to not leave a good blood trail. I have never had a problem with penetration with multi-blade heads and in most cases 3 and 4 blade heads will out penetrate 2 bladed heads.
Just make sure arrow flys true, is SHARP, and put in the right place.
