I'm going to start videoing my hunts this bow season & need some help on a
camcorder. My budget is $400 it was higher but the cost of fuel & corn http://discussions.texasbowhunter.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif

I'm looking for one that will work with windows movie maker.
I'm a 1st timer

I have the Dell Inspiron E1505 it has a firewire 4 pin [female] good to go on that. I just need to get the cable.
Is it easier to edit off of tape or cd or with a built-in Hard Disk Drive into windows movie maker?

I have a Cannon ZR 800. I am not sure what it costs but I did two videos last year, and they both came out great.

Mine is mini tape, and the download to the PC was easy.

You might get with Buff or Chunky.... they are the LSBA Movie Stars

TxPapa, I have the Canon ZR950 (had to stay 1 ahead of Brandon). Great camera so far, easy to use but Brandon does have 1 on me still because I have not learned the loading and editing on the computer yet. You can get those also for less than $300.00. Bob

you should have no problem getting some good footage from a $300.00 camera. I would sugest sticking with a mini DV camera. The edit with Movie maker is real easy.

Buff, what is the movie maker you talk about. How would I know if I have it on my computer, or is that something I need to get from somewhere. Bob

I just found out something terrible today. I wanted a camera that was able to take still pics, but found out that it will take still pics, but not off the video. That really did not do what I was wanting. So I could possible have a brand new Canon ZR 950 camera that I would sell for around $250.00. Bob
