Gone and Done it!!

Well guys.... after hunting with the great Buff and watching him and Chunky shoot at Brazos County last year, I began thinking that I would love to get into the traditional scene.

I was not sure if I was going to like it or not, so I was looking on the net and found a Samick Spirit II 40# @28" Takedown recurve. Well I bought it and it came in the mail yesterday!!!

I am so excited, but now I am in the same boat as Bobby (Chew)..... got the bow, target, and glove......but no ARROWS!!

I have been working with Chunky on getting things set up right, but any other advice would be greatly appreciated.....

I am TOTALLY new to the trad scene, so any advice is good......

Are you sure it was not because you saw Dena shooting hers at BPS, and you could not let a girl out do you:D? From someone else experience, get a arm guard before you start shooting. Bob

ARMGUARDS are HIGHLY recommended! I'd post pics, but wouldn't want to scare anyone away. Thanks to Mr. Balusek, I no longer have that problem.

Congrats on the recurve, Brandon! I'm looking forward to the trad scene myself! I'm finally getting the opportunity to shoot the long bow that Bobster bought me for my birthday.

I knew you were impressed with my shooting at BPS!! :D Too bad you didn't get it in sooner. There were lots of experienced instructions willing to help me out at BPS this past weekend. Wes at BPS was a big help and use to shoot Traditional. I bet he could help you out with some arrows.

Of course, nothing compares to the wisdom of Buff and Chunky! (Did I just say that outloud???)

Oh great! Now folks are starting to found out our secret and everybody's wanting in on the action. Well, at least ya drive a Chevy! :D
