TPWD is celebrating Cinco de Mayo at Texas Freshwater Fishery Center (TFFC) in Athens on Saturday, May 3rd. There will be lots of activities for youngsters and adults including archery. We did the archery range for Outdoor Fools Day at TFFC earlier this month and TPWD invited us back for Cinco de Mayo.

Volunteers are needed to help with the youth archery range. You do not need to be an archery instructor or experienced bowhunter to help out. All we're doing is giving kids an opportunity to safely fling a few arrows at 3D targets. If you've wanted to get involved with one of these youth archery ranges, this is a great opportunity. Several of the regular volunteers are not going to be able to make this event and we need LSBA members to step up.

Please post here or email me at rww1626@aol.com.

Thanks,
Bob Wright

I think I can help with this.

I mentioned it to my son last week and I think he would like to come and help too.

Thanks, right_wing. I'll post more information about the event as soon as TPWD gets it to me.
