Here are some pics I took at the State Tournament in Corpus Christi at the the Tejas Bowman Archery Club. Thanks Tejas for hosting the State shoot. Shooters came form all over to the tournament. There were even two guys from Mexico that drove up to participate.
Over 20 new LSBA members were signed up at the shoot. It was a successful shoot and everyone had a good time.

It was good to meet you. Other than the heat, I thought the shoot was very good. I know a lot of hard work went into it. I have some pictures that I will post as soon as I have time to resize them.

Thanks Beleg for taking all the pictures and posting them. The shoot went well thanks to all the hard work from the Tejas club. Robert and his group have a beautiful range and the shoot was set up great. Without all the hard work of the clubs, we wouldn't be able to have the shoots. Thanks again to Tejas for the state shoot and Golden Eagle, Crossroads, Canyon Lake, Abilene, Buffalo Field, Navasot, Brazos County, and Banana Bend for hosting regional shoots. We all owe a big Thank You to these clubs :D . Hope to see everyone at the shoots next year and if each one will bring a friend, we can have a banner year.

I have only shot one 3-D practice round using the Hunter's classification stakes I believe. I beat my host that day so I haven't been invited back. :)
Just what does a person have to score to be competitive in these events. All my competition experience has been with muzzle loaders. I can hold my own with them, but don't want my age to be my score.
The Brazoria Bowman is the closest range for me to shoot. It is part of the Greenwood Gun club where I do 90% of my ML shooting. So I have a place to shoot close by but have not taken the time to do so in the past.
Might try next year if I feel I can be competitive. So how great do I need to be to win one of those nice belt buckles? :D

Aww, these pics make me miss all of my shooting buddies. Libby & Mike, Mr. Ed, Gary and Kandy, Steve, and Tracey... okay, the Cochran's are firing up and shooting this next year.... The Enloe's said they are on the comeback too! And the Simone's are going to come too! We are looking forward to it.

There were some ugly mugs at the state shoot. I thought I would have to get my camera repaired after taking some of those pics.
