Just how expensive and possible would it be to run a statewide census to identify all those who bowhunt here in Texas? :err::err::think:
I know of several guys that live within 1 mile of me and I dont think any of them are members of LSBA or TBH. someday I need to stop and chat with them.

I know that not every one who bowhunts is a member of LSBA or TBH or any other orginization. I would think that getting with TPWD and asking about handing out a flyer with the purchase of an archery stamp would be a great way to increase knowledge of the LSBA.

Does TPWD sell information? A lot of places do, yes even government agencies. If they will sell info to marketing firms, surely they will sell it to LSBA.
You might be able to get the name of everyone who bought an archery stamp last year.
At the very least maybe you could get info like the total number of stamps sold, and how many in each region.
They may even have that info on their web site or something.
If you knew what areas hold high numbers of bow hunters, a mail out campaign or ads in the sunday paper in those areas might drum up more members.
Just a thought

Bear, it is not that simple anymore since TPWD started with the super combo license. No way of knowing who actually would have bought what stamp that way. Bob

we could go back to the last year that stamps were sold and get that number then add in a fair increase against a fair death loss and get real close.it has not been that long ago since we lost our stamp.
