Roger,
I don't have any stories to submit, but I thought I would throw out the idea of possibly having a "Tech Tips" section in each issue. Is this something that anyone would be interested in? I could write up an article for each issue along with illustrations covering various tech tips. If there would be any interest in this let me know and I'll try to get something together.
-Brandon
That would be nice Brandon.
I could help you out with the first article:
"Why You Shouldn't Use a Screwdriver For a Bow Press"

Eric,
Just family friendly stories. pictures if you got any. Electronic pix are great and should be at least 300 dpi. That is really about it. Write something up and send it my way. Chew and Cull will whack it up to the point you won't be able to recognize it anyway! **just kidding**

I've got a story to send, but don't know what all the limitations are. How many pages or words can it be? I've sent a couple emails to roger, but he must be busy.

I am sure he is just busy. He has not replied to me either but that is not that unusual. Give it a few more days, it is not just you.

Well I don't tink the guys whack them up to bad. Just a spelling and grammar check mostly.
Chunky

They don't whack them up at all. A couple of times I realized I had some sort of grammatical error and it was published just like I sent it in. :) Of course that was in Tinman's day, can't tease Roger just yet.

I am leaning on Bobby and Steve to do the editing of the stories. Makes it easier for me to put the issues together. But the last email I got from them was they were off having fun at a boat show somewhere. So we know where their priorities truely are! LOL
Tease me all you want...I can make you look like a cross dressing hunter in your pictures! **evil grin**

I am already so ugly in pics, that is no threat.....do you worst!
Of course, maybe I am not as ugly as I think and it is just that I stand next to "Prettyboy Buff" and it makes me look worse????? Naw, that's not it. :)
Ya'll crack me up.
Roger, sent you 5 or 6 edited stories last night via email.
We got some good stuff so far.

Hey Roger ol' Bud,
I am not going to tell you how do you your editor job......but
I know when I sent in my very first story, it was a big deal to me. I waited and waited for that mag to come out.
If you are getting lots, I would suggest, try and use as many from new people as possible. I wound not put in more than one from any one author (in the past we have had to I know). I can't speak for Buff, Trailboss, or the other excellent regular contributers, but feel free to hold anything of mine back as long as you want.
oh, and as far as Buff goes....what happens in Canada, stays in Canada!

I sent him the e-mail last night around 10..& still have not received the edited copy back! :D
Just kidding It was not my best or even close. I had my wife re-reading it. I just need to keep writing. I don't do enough for LSBA because of other things going on in life the least I can do is start sending stories in.
I was surly not going to write a how to piece on killing grouse:jump:

Good points Chunky! I will keep that in mind and we will do our best! I believe the more stories we receive the better quality ones will surface and we can always ask the authors to tweak some before we run them in the next issue. Which should go to the publisher by the end of this month if not sooner.

Grouse in a skirt?
You sent me some new ads....can you please check the last issue and compare to what you have then let me know what needs to come out or moved to B&W to accommodate the new color ads? I have the spread sheet you sent, but I would like to be absolutely sure of the advertisers and to have that assurance come from you would be ideal. Maybe give me a heads up as to when an ad is running out of time? Thanks!
