Ok Ya'll know I was supposed to be at the 4B ranch this weekend hunting with Paul, Tink, WSentertainment,Kp, Texasboars,Marty...and the list goes on..I arrived home this morning at 4:30..all week I have been gone and really missing the kids and Jennifer....in all my career I have never had to leave the kids much more than a few days,..this trip took it's toll.
As we left Atlanta late last night..I thought..maybe I can pull it out. Tink is a fellow that I surely respect...and consider a friend I always hope he feels the same way..today I had a big choice,,it was'nt that hard when I type this..but when I heard locals huntng teals this morning before the kids were up it made it touger.
I love to hunt..the oppurtunity to hunt at the 4b ranch was a blessing,,a gift in disguise,..to hunt again with some old friends and some new ones..a memory so I thought,.
I could have suffered through a few hours on the deer stand this morning but my goal was to hunt with my friends, old and new.
I laid down at 9 this morning and asked to be woken at 11..I slept for a bit...think I awoke at 1:30...still exhausted..Lauren asked me if she could shoot her new bow..yes Lauren has a new bow sent to me from Howie..Jasmines old bow which s like new and Lauren had asked all week that when I got home could we shoot it,,Lauren is 4...and remebers when her dad says yes its gonna happen..she is a great big sister and when Jacob my 20 month old told me on the phone the other day ""DADDY COME HOME"..Lauren was right there with Daddy always comes back home..So when I awoke...late and wouldnt make the hunt,,I tried to spend some much needed time with the kids..Jennifer will come later.
We set out a new cam...changed a timer and came home to do ...shoot Laurens new bow..its all I heard,,why because I told her.
So we get outside again..and she starts to shoot..Jasmine you took very good care if the bow you sent Lauren and she is nothing but smiles...
Here are a few pics of us today,,though I wasnt at the 4B ranch,,,I was here for my kids.

Very touching write up. You sound like a class act Tim. I have a few hobbies that, in the past, were very close to being more important to me than my family until I came into reality. I do like to hunt but honestly it is very hard for me to do it on a regular basis because I like spending every minute I can with my family.

Thanks for sharing the pics and congrats to having a great family.

Tim kudos for having your priorities straight.

I must say that on my opening day all I killed was time......with my seven year old granddaughter. My first ever opening day with a youngun' in the blind/stand with me. I teased her on Friday night that I was going to wake her at 4:30 Saturday morning and guess what, she woke up herself and wanted to go. She went with me again yesterday evening. I get plenty of time for me but not enough with my grandkids.

Savor every minute of it Tim, they grow up too fast.

Coole deal, Tim...don't feel like the Lone Ranger. After working for 21-days straight, I blew off my plans to hunt the Tawakoni WMA this Sunday and stayed home to hang-out with my family too.

I'll get around to buying my license and try again to squeeze in a hunt this Sunday...if I'm not working again. ;)

I'd be happy to fling an arrow toward a little piglet right now...:)

I'm flying out to Tucson, AZ for work this afternoon and will be back later in the week. I'll give you a shout when I get back in town, Tim. Thanks a bunch for the invite.

RNS..I just realized you are close..when you want to go..during the week till the rut or gun season..since I hunt most only with my bow..varmints excluded I hunt another place for my does.. only bowhunt my hog and deer heaven on the weekends or if the time is getting close....so I am good till the seasons end..am I making any sense// I hunt behind the house on weekends,,I hunt a friends place thats covered in does and some bucks but to many deer not any trophies..on the weekdays..gie both a break from the pressure.
