Well now that I have a string coming for my bow, maybe I can get some tips on arrows. 45# 28" draw. I shoot light weight carbons in my Mathews but not really sure what to start with on my recurve. Thanks, Sam :D
That is a really nice hog there Bobster. :D :D :D :D :D :D

hey, glad to have you amoungst those of us who enjoy shooting traditional equipment. You will have to join the next quest for the concrete piggy.

As far as arrows go, why not try shooting the same ones that you shoot out of your compound? If they fly well, you are all set and can switch back and forth between bows without additional arrow costs.

good luck, you will love it!

Like chunky said. Try the ones you currently have. I don't know a lot about carbons. 35/55 in goldtips should work. Or you could try 2016 or 1916 in aluminum. Have them cut long to start and shorten to tune to your bow. 45/50s in wood arrows will work for that bow.

But, yeah, unless you're shooting a heavy compound, the same arrows may work for you.

Two warnings for shooting traditional. It can be addictive and it can keep you away from the house a lot. (The range, archery shop, rendezvous, etc.)

Just make sure you use an elevated rest if using same arrows if they have vanes, as Losthawg already alluded to in his other post! Welcome to the other side of Archery!
